Ibrahim Hooper of the Washington, D.C.-based Council on American-Islamic Relations says, "While everyone supports robust airline security measures, racial and religious profiling are in fact counterproductive and can lead to a climate of insecurity and fear.""

Dear Mr. Hooper:

F--- you, you two-faced raghead traitor. You'd better believe I'm going to assume everyone who looks likes you or professes your creed is guilty until proven innocent. Franklin D. Roosevelt would have locked every man jack of you in a effing concentration camp, and to hell with the consequences. That's why he WON his war.

The First Amendment is a suicide pact, and it will end up allowing people like you to kill this nation, but until then I'll be damned if I'm going to let your kind fly _my_ plane into a building for the sake of freedom of religion.

One day soon, Our Lady will crush the head of your Satanic heresy just as she has crushed all the others: through the invincible power of her Son. I look forward to that day. Until them I AM WATCHING YOU.

Sincerely,

B-chan

Not at all. The First Amendment only guarantees that the goverment cannot establish a religion or restrict the free exercise of religion. I don't see anything in there pertaining to travel. So I will laugh at and dismiss any of CAIR's claims that restrictions on muslims' travel supposedly violates the First Amendment.

On the other hand, the Federal Government is clearly empowered to regulate interstate and international commerce. I would dare say that flying from one state to another, or flying from the USA to another country or back clearly fall under the definition of interstate or international commerce, respectively. Therefore, if the US Government were to impose restrictions on muslims' being able to fly on airplanes, then it would be perfectly legal in my book.

Of course I live in fantasyland... I really think that the government cares about that ratty old document I just referenced.
