TODAYS 12.27 flight NW 253 Detroit called ahead and asked for emergency assistance upon landing; all passengers and crew thought to be off; one or more verbally disruptive passengers thought to be problem.
CNN: passenger up and down, spent lots of time in bathroom, thought to be suspicious... all monitored by gov’t off’ls in DC... standard post 9/11 procedures get on emergency interagency call... FAA keeps an open phone line 24/7 and all agencies can “come up on the net instantly” for a coordinated response.
