Why doesn’t he vacation in Chicago? He really doesn’t have ties to Hawaii anymore. What keeps him out of Chicago, where he owns his house.
I was wondering the same, but I think his half-sister lives and teaches there. It would be cheaper for her family to visit him, but what of it, it’s only taxpayers’ money and time away from his entourage’s families.
There was a report done when Obama was elected. The amount for him to vacation in Hawaii or Chicago. The amounts for Hawaii were huge and the story line sort of supposed he would vacation in Chicago. They were wrong.
Obama will work the system as much as he can. Including taking family and friends to other countries he probably never would have on his own dime.
Supposedly he has to pay his way for his vacation but you can bet a deal was worked out with the owner of the home his family is staying in. WE the taxpayers are paying for housing for the rest of the crew at full price.
He has already said he wants to buy the home. Scuttlebutt from some friends who went on a cruise said Oprah promised to buy him a home. Soros or Oprah may just give him a present like Clintons friends did when they trashed the WH leaving.
