It's been reported that the passengers were kept on the aircraft after it landed and was stationary in a remote section of the airport.

If this is true this is nuts. When there is/hasbeen a fire on the aircraft, you get off of it at the first opportunity. Secure the pax if you wish but get them away from the airplane. -386wt (and old pilot)

Yes, the plane was taken to a remote part of the airport. Someone driving by this area took pictures of the plane. He said he never sees planes parked in this area. The picture shows the plane surrounded by police and fire equipment, all passengers still on board.
