Obama for America is no longer Obama’s presidential campaign. It became Organizing for America, a part of the DNC, sometime in January 2009 right after the election. Perkins Coie is the general counsel for Obama for America.
Obama for America filed its FEC report as recently as October 15, 2009. The receipts as well as disbursements reported, including the $331K+ disbursement over the three months of July, August and September 2009 to Perkins Coie, are those billed to that campaign, not to the DNC or Organizing for America.
