As President Obama arrives in Copenhagen hoping to seal an elusive deal on climate change, his approval rating on dealing with global warming has crumbled at home and there is broad opposition to spending taxpayer money to encourage developing nations to curtail their energy use, according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll.
....
At the same time, there's growing negativity toward the president's handling of the broader global warming issue. Around the 100-day mark of Obama's presidency, 61 percent approved of the way he was dealing with the issue. Approval slumped to 54 percent in June and to 45 percent in the new poll.

I wonder how much of this opposition is rooted in the idea that people of the third world should not be made to suffer by being held back from the finer things in life (i.e., energy) because it is morally wrong to do this?
Or that the entire concept of man made global warming is really Mann made global warm.
Other than being a complete socialist idiot, why would anyone want action to prevent global warming when it was proven a complete fraud?
No such thing as man made global warming.
Gore and a few junk scientists made up the hoax.
Man made fake crisis.
Ask Governor Palin or someone you know in Alaska about scam of polar bears becoming extinct.Gore was willing to make no exceptions because he is a phony.

Americans oppose borrowing $10B from China and gifting the $10B to third world grifters. WaPo is shocked.
FTA: “But for all the challenges American policymakers have to overcome, nearly two-thirds of people surveyed say the federal government should regulate the release of greenhouse gases from sources like power plants, cars and factories in an effort to curb global warming.”
Lord, save us from the stupid and the greedy!
The MSM summary of this article would read: ‘Americans are in favor of regulating green house gases to stop global warming.’
The polls results are slightly different. Yes, most Americans would support such regulation even if it increases energy costs by a whopping $10-$25 per month. That hardly compares to Obama’s statement that he will send utility bills “skyrocketing” to stop global warming.
The best way to stop all this greenhouse gas emission legislation is to inform the American people just how much it will cost them for energy and in their life styles (no more 50 inch TVs, etc.).
Imagine what it would be if you and your fellow media partners in crime had actually reported on ‘Climategate’, WP.
...there is broad opposition to spending taxpayer money to encourage developing nations to curtail their energy use...
Why should developing nations curtail their energy use? The liberals don’t want them to develop? What the #e!! is going on? The liberals are trying to keep poor nations in poverty? Again, what the #e!! is going on?
Many liberals feel there is nothing wrong with keeping people mired in poverty. The worse off other people are, the more liberals can feel sorry about them and better about themselves.
