Someone did it, right? Who was it? I’m not a historian but I believe it was White Men. (except for some Mexicans)
Yeah, it was pioneer early American white men. Are you related to them in any way? No, you didn’t pull the trigger but it is in your blood and on top of that you condone it by denial. I bet you see NO connection what so ever.

Following your logic, do I get reparations from the English owing to the Potato Famine? Let it go and be at peace.

So what you’re saying is, that you can held accountable for the actions of your ancestors?

Okay - well, the Natives killed lots of innocent people. Some tribes took pride in killing innocent people. Some tribes would scalp and butcher people who couldn’t defend themselves.

So I guess the Natives need to do some apologizing of their own.

There are fewer Natives in the US than there are white people - which means the Natives living today are much more accountable than whites living today.

(Oh, well there were innocent peaceful tribes....)

There were innocent peaceful whites too. But you’re holding them all accountable.

And btw - my father’s side of the family came to the US in the 1930s.

So remember the lesson: judging people by race and ethnicity is only okay if the people you’re judging are white.

Why don’t you take your smug little racist ideas and shove them where the sun doesn’t shine?

A question for you fish hawk.

Do you use traditional native harvesting methods when you go back to harvest your salmon? Or do you use modern methods...just asking.

I grew up seeing first hand western washington tribes netting the rivers and watching gill nets (poly nets btw) literally sinking to the bottom because some lazy net owner wouldn’t take the time to tend his net strung accross the river.

I lived among the Yupik Eskimoe in Western Alaska, watching them hunt caribou and moose from snowmobiles until there were none left accessible by machine.

I live here in S.E. Alaska now and watch a tribe of Indians from Canada fish their “own” island, compliments of the Fed government (they weren’t even Alaskan indians, go figure) with modern diesel boats and poly nets, stopping only when told to do so....do I need to go on about how I have no respect for Indians and their “traditional” harvesting methods?

Maybe you are an exception, if so I respect you for it.

Yep, lets just overlook the behavior of those “peace” loving indians who raided their neighbors, killed the men, raped and took captive the women and children - and all this occurred prior to the arrival of Europeans. And, of course, after Europeans arrived, all the Native Americans became peaceful and it was the mean evil White man who did all the killing. I love revisionist historians.
