Socialism is Immoral(Try floating that little ice-breaker at your Christmas dinner!).
The War on Socialism ^ | October 20, 2009 | Robert Waterson

Socialism is immoral because at its core, once you strip away the camouflage of false compassion, it requires an acceptance that the government owns you, that when the rubber hits the road you are simply a number, and that if you are more productive than most other people you will be regarded as a cash cow to be milked for what some group of statists considers The Common Good. You can dress that up in the “party dress” of alleged compassion but it remains un-American and immoral.

I'm serious about the Christmas Dinner experiment I am proposing. I think too many people are running the argument against socialism purely on grounds of inefficiency, and that's OK, but it's not enough to overcome the propaganda, which has a quasi-moral appeal. That's where the weak spot is. We must knock out the fake moral superiority of the left and expose it for what it is: An impulse to enslave that is rooted in greed and envy on a monumental scale that flies in the face of God’s immortal law:

Thou shalt not steal.

Thou shalt not covet.

Thou shall have no other gods before Me.

One more thing: King Solomon points out that people who disregard the law of God do not have the ear of God (Proverbs 28:9), so you may wish to work especially hard on those you know who claim to be believers yet insist on public, forcible theft in quest of a secular, baby-killing “utopia.” I know two in my own circle of friends and family. While the battle rages on in the "lofty" halls of Congress, we must each fight in our own personal trenches for the minds and hearts of those closest to us. The more small battles we win in our own backyard, the more difficult we make it for our would-be oppressors to succeed in the larger war against freedom.

Liberalism - the belief that bad ideas only work on a grand scale.

You have to realize the populace has been conditioned to not only accept socialism, but long for it.

My older brother, who I always looked up to and thought to be a bright man, thinks government is the answer.

Obviously, my opinion of his intelligence has changed. But if I dropped that bomb at Christmas, it would be nothing but a fight.

Of course socialism is immoral - as is any other pretense used to deny that your life belogns to you. It’s a first-principles argumnet that drives socialists and tin-pot utopian retard utopians to name-calling and invective right off the bat. Sure sign of a loser.

Earlier this week, a guy told me that Christ was a communist because he wanted to take from the rich and give to the poor.

I stopped him cold when I said that Christ wanted the rich to give away their possessions to help the poor, but He never stuck a gun in their face and ordered them to give it up, because socialism/communism is not charity. It is theft and slavery. Then I told him that when people that have food and a roof over their head demand more because others have more than them and “they deserve it”, then they are even more evil than the government that steals from others to give it to them.

He admitted that I had a point and he’d never looked at it that way before.

Did it change his ideology? I doubt it. But maybe it will plant a seed of doubt in his mind and make him think a little.

Some suggest Judas was a socialist. Feigning concern for the poor while holding onto the purse a little too tightly.

We are in a war, after all, so I wouldn’t let the prospect of a fight dissuade you from at least attempting to enlighten your brother by challenging his unexamined assumptions. You might be surprised at the results. But each of us has to make that call based on our own circumstances. I wish you well.

I mentioned earlier that I believe collectivism to be inherently immoral regardless of the results of an implementation of that system.

Collectivism is immoral because:

1)it violates property rights
2)it violates the right to life and liberty
3)the life, liberty, and property belong to and is controlled by the group
4)the group can sacrifice the individual at its own whim and for its own interests

Believe me; I “feel your pain.” Just remember, the left has dominated the public educational institutions, so many of these folks grew up in informational “backwaters.” They are intelligent, reasonable people, but they really have not put two and two together. Some, when you expose the ugly hidden premise of socialism, will for the first time really “get it.” We need to find these people, and we need to make the moral question part of the equation, because it de-energizes the left’s biggest propaganda weapon, their false sense of moral superiority.

Let me put it another way. Each of these people has a vote, and that vote is going to neutralize your vote as long as it remains ill-informed. We’re already working against ACORN, so we need to recapture more than our share of those lost votes. We need to find these people of good will who can be prodded into seeing through the left’s hypnotic deception. They are out there. This is doable, and it is something we can do right now, today, that will have a positive effect on the current struggle. Don’t give up.

Socialism is not only immoral, it does not work. Americans, for better or worse, are pragmatists. Socialist nations not only end up destroying people’s souls, but it destroys their life in this world. The first settlers from Europe, who settled in Jamestown, tried socialism, and they almost starved to death. John Smith abandoned it when he quoted from the Scriptures,”If you do not work, you do not eat.” When the settlers became capitalists, the people not only produced enough for themselves, but also for others. Look at the Soviet Union and Cuba. If you want to see the affects of socialism in our country, visit an Indian reservation. The reason why liberals push socialism is not that they care about the poor or the sick, it is because the state owns everything and liberal politicians own the state. If people actually cared about people they would say to the poor, get off the drugs, and get a job. If you do not work, you do not eat.

Socialism is immoral because it is predicated on the idea that it’s OK to take from one person, by force or coercion if necessary, in order to give to another. Where I come from we call that stealing
