The health care legislation about to be passed by the U.S. Senate requires all Americans to purchase health insurance. All Americans, that is, except for the Senate, other members of Congress and their staff. The Democrats refuse to even allow vote on the matter.....

Technically you dont have to buy through an exchange if you have employer based insurance. The exchange is for the uninsured. Correct? So they are not really getting a special exemption.
Now making them buy it from the exchange is a nice idea. But it is not like congress to reduce their benefits.

I can’t understand how they can say what is good for me is not good for them. Since its a mandate how can some be excluded. Does income tax discriminate.
