“We’re getting a lot of pressure not to say anything, to try to compromise this principle or belief,” Stupak said. “[T]hat’s just not us. We’re not going to do that. Members who voted for the Stupak language in the House – especially the Democrats, 64 Democrats that voted for it – feel very strongly about it.

Well, those 64 Dims will soon reveal whether they truly hold those pro-life convictions, or whether they were just useful idiots in getting Obamacare through the House by only 220 to 215 votes. If they have real convictions, the Senate language on abortion will be changed significantly, or Obamacare won't pass the House again. And if the language is changed, we'll see if any pro-abortion folks in either chamber rebel and vote against the bill.

They already did vote nay when that Senate *compromise* language was a part of the House bill, for these pro-life Dems, it is the Hyde language, now to be called Stupak I suppose, or it is an end to this bill. Those 64 are on record, there is no way they can weasel, they know it, more importantly, their constituents know it, and unlike Nelson, all 64 will be up for re-election come November.
