out of curiousity what was Bush’s when he left office?

I’,m wondering as I never see the media report any of this and yet they were always reporting on Bush and his low numbers.

Also a Dem from AL is joining the GOP today so all this news is not good for the rats

And Obama’s reaction? “Pay no attention to those poll numbers behind the curtain”. I’m sure he has a plan to subvert all future elections so why would he care about poll numbers.

I think some of this is about Copenhagan.

And some of it is liberals upset with Copenhagan, or upset about Obama supporting the watered-down Senate bill.

So I think the strong disapproval could go do approval, simply by Obama doing stuff for his left. Just like sometimes Bush could pull up his negative numbers by catering to the base, until the Amnesty pushed them over the edge.

Still, it does show the hatred for the Obamacare bill.

Unfortunately, the Senate seems to think they can vote this thing, and maybe they believe the House will stop it somehow so the bill won’t pass and the left will blame someone else.

Frankly, this is beginning to look like Amnesty for republicans (except that the democrats might actually pass the bill). If the Democrats don’t pass health care, the left will stay home on election day, and they will lose.

If they DO pass health care, the independents will abandon them, and they will lose, and the left might STILL abandon them if the bill isn’t nice enough.

The Democrats only have one play — scrap this bill, make a deal for a smaller, REAL reform with republicans. They sell the left that they have the foot in the door, they win independents with the move to the center, and they demoralize the conservative base who won’t like the moderate health care reform measure.

If the liberals in the senate were smart, they’d agree to vote for a bill that would get 3-4 republicans.

Americans woke up from their trance too late. He’s wrecked the economy, buried us in debt, and “health care reform” is a done deal. The only thing left to complete the job is “climate change.”

As for these polls, they are worthless. Polls must translate into votes that count. And we all know who is counting the votes now.

Well the kenyan's poll numbers will only get worse from here. I think he's a one termer, but it'll be a loooong term. Soetoro only won by something like 52% - 48% and that was against probably the worst candidate the GOP could have had. Since then der kenyan hasn't convinced any of those who voted against him and has alienated a lot of his moderate support. The college kids and blacks who put him in won't be so motivated after 3 years on unemployment so he's toast.

The tragedy is you have Mitch McConnell now trying to reconcile the vote schedule with Reid. That's what I heard anyway. I agree with the fill in host on Beck this morning who said it sounds like the GOP is rolling over. The GOP should be demanding full readings in the well of the senate (if they can) of all these last minute deals. They should be making the process as painful and inconvenient as possible. They won't win but they need to go down swinging. </rant>

This poll tanking represents a confluence of several events, and may not be repeated. Conservatives despise him for obvious reasons - he's a Marxist America-hater. But now the ultra-left liberals hate him more for not trying harder to ram his communist agenda more quickly down this country's throat. Addionally, recently the justice department refused to grant federal marriage benefits to an employee in a federal court in a same-sex relationship (prohibited by DOMA.) This has enraged the sodomites.

That, and the dismal poll numbers for the Dems, as well as a largely neutered HC bill (at least according the leftists) has his orginal supporters calling for his head.

He’s doing quite a few things, even on healthcare, that are frankly alienating his base while failing to woo the right.

The only way his numbers drop farther, in my mind, is to loose his base as well.
