local contact and fax numbers for Senators (demwits)

Email them but the Phone is the best route.

Remind them that obamanationcare effects EVERY ONE!

VA cuts, retired Military..Tri Care for Life (nearly $5,000 in new fees) 8% cut in Medicare, increased premiums, 15% cut to nursing homes and for Pete's sake why are we creating a new tax on special needs kids? And why do we need 111 NEW federal agencies to 'oversee' obamnationcare? Oh, that is how he is 'growing' jobs!

I google’d the info. It’s readily available in our case. And 80% of our county’s Medicaid caseload involves elderly folks, folks who probably won’t be able to get off the program. Guess who’s gonna get shafted by an increased burden to bear?

Two faced bastard talking out of both sides of his mouth.

What I'd like to know is how does Nelson get that cat to sit so still on his head?

BTW, nina, if you find the info, would you please share it? I’m curious about what the situation’s like elsewhere :)

"I'm from Nebraska and the backlash on Nelson is really strong. I would bet That Ben Nelson has been promised a lot more than what has been announced publicly"

Has the Nebraska State Assembly adjourned for Christmas? They need to pass a strong reprimand and repudiation of Nelson.

Please call your local talk radio shows and voice your concern...

We are going to re-name your state "the Freeloader State" if there isn't VERY STRONG pushback.

I assume you may not be all the way up on what has gone on today about this issue.

Our Governor was on Fox News and made it clear that we want a "Fair Deal" not a "Special deal"

Before you start calling names from Cook County......remember where this gang of gangsters originated.

I found this website:

http://www.city-data.com/

which has lots of data for many places, so I’ve got the total property tax for my county, but I can’t find medicare numbers. Did you have to look up both numbers and calculate the percentage?

Yep, Cloture allows you to vote for a bill in order to advance it, and then vote against it later at the final vote. This way you get the legislation (or bribes) you want without having to take responsibility for it.

Well, then. Where will you be moving to if you don’t want to stand and fight?

I agree; our current Congress is the Worst. Congress. Ever. They’re a bunch of p*ssies for the most part, but if we REPLACE the RINOs, don’t you believe that we have at least a FIGHTING chance to save our Nation from Socialism?

Two ideas for ya:

Work in your state to make sure that your State Supreme Court is balanced, if not right-leaning.

Work in your state to make sure that elected officials, from your local Dog Catcher on UP to your Governor are Conservatives; not RINOs, but they don’t even have to be Republicans, LOL!

Get back to me when you have a plan of action, Skippy. You don’t have the right to complain unless YOU are actively working locally and state-wide to change things.

Some things just are what they are. :)

Look “Skippy”, I have been. I am just calling things as I see it.

The reality is that most incumbents about 90% are re-elected. Who is running out there that is a real conservative? No one is.

IMHO time for talking at the voting booth is about over. And based on the last election unless they purge the voting rolls and make everyone re-register, well, you think you saw fraud the last time, these people will stop at NOTHING to hold on to their power.

I really don’t know what the answer is. I wish I did. But as far as voting goes we are no better that the third world countries.

Quitter. :)

I understand your dilema.

I still have faith that people like me, my friends and family, CAN make a difference - at least in our little corner of the world - by working from the bottom up.

H3ll, if an unknown ‘Community Organizer’ can make it to the top, why not my candidate? Why not me? I plan on running for local office when I retire in five years. I have a great conservative resume and platform to run on.

Why don’t you consider doing the same?

you have a point there. I have too many sins in my past to run, but I will tell you this: If somebody in my area runs and they are conservative, I will do everything I can to get them elected.

Merry Christmas! to you and your family

No, I just googled my county’s name and the word medicaid. Got plenty of hits since it’s a sore subject in my neck of the woods. But if you want a quick answer, you might just want to call one of your local pols, mayor, county legislator, city councilman, etc. after the holidays. They should have the answer for you at their fingertips. If they don’t, give ‘em heck :)
