I got a short rope.
Ambassador Nelson or Judge Nelson in 2011.
He thinks he’s being clever. Now that he voted for cloture, he can vote against the bill, and it will pass because it only needs 51 votes, and he can say that he hated the bill because it doesn’t include medicaid funding for all states. I’m sure talk radio will out him today.
‘We need to repeal the 17th Amendment..along with several others. Audit the Fed.”
I agree the fed needs to be held accountable. One of the speakers on Becks show the other night argued that auditing the Fed opens it up to politics. His argument was that the same politics we see now would be done with the Fed.
I think politics are already being played with the Fed but he has a good point. IMO, the only option is to eliminate the Fed.
OH COME ON... The ONLY thing that Nebraskans care about is Bo and the ‘Huskers... Bread and Circuses...
I read Ron Pauls book on it. A real eye opener.
This guy is a freaking idiot.
I’m thinking the outright Leftists in extremely liberal districts have far more honor than those from more moderate districts, of either party, who talk right but vote left on the sly and as needed.
So some of our most reviled nemeses are more honorable than some on our own team.
Back on 1 April 2009, and not as an April Fool’s joke, the Senate of the Great State of Georgia passed Senate Resolution 632 affirming States Rights. Below is a letter sent today, 22 December 2009, to Governor Perdue. And I spelled his name incorrectly . . . for effect . . . that’s my story, and I’m sticking to it.
Dear Governor Purdue:
The United States Congress, having over stepped its Constitutional Mandates, has begun the final steps to ratify a Health Care Reform Bill. This bill is unconstitutional in many ways: 1- all 50 States are not treated equally; 2- it forces people to purchase a particular product and fines them if they do not; 3- Health Care is not a right guaranteed by the US Constitution under the “general welfare” clause or it would have been initiated as soon as the several States signed the US Constitution.
Please actively publicize SR 632 - Jeffersonian Principles; affirming state’s rights passed by the Georgia Senate on 1 April 2009. Please announce to the United States Congress and to other States who have similar Nullification Legislation that the State of Georgia will not comply with an patently unconstitutional “Health Care Reform Bill.”
I admit Bo is bigger than Ben in Nebraska, even before Ben sold out. Bo is the real deal and has the huskers on the way back to greatness.
Turn them ALL out in 2010.
Indeed. I'm reading Tocqueville right now. The man virtually invented political science. His powers of observation and analysis were (and I guess are) amazing.
Not all of us.
Who is “They”? I thought the RATS were bringing us this bill.
It’s stinking “WE” or “I” Ben Nelson (Rat-Nebraska).
Twisted man, twisted Congress.
The bill needs to be thrown out.
He was prescient.
How do you find that number? I'd be interested to know what my county's is.
