That's a whole lot of generalizations. What's 'these people' mean? American filmmaking is pretty ideologically diverse. It always has been. There is good and bad in all professions. There are lots of awful books and terrible music. Does that mean you don't read or listen to music? Movies are a crucial part of American culture.

I haven’t heard any real music since the 70’s so, no, I don’t listen to the crap. And I think this country would do just fine without the filth coming out of Hollywood. I don’t need to escape to fantasy land to enjoy life. You support them if you want. It’s your money.
