The U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Thursday approved the $2.5-billion US Jordan Cove liquefi ed natural gas import terminal and related pipeline project that will help meet growing natural gas demand in the Pacific Northwest.
The terminal, to be located on Coos Bay in Oregon, would provide up to one billion cubic feet of gas a day. The 377-kilo-metre Pacific Connector pipeline that was also approved by the commission would transport the terminal's gas to the Oregon-California border.
The import terminal is owned by a subsidiary of Fort Chicago Energy Partners and the pipeline is a limited partnership between wholly owned subsidiaries of The Williams Companies Inc., PG&E Corp. and Fort Chicago.

The proposed Oregon LNG Project will be located on the east side of the Skipanon channel on the Skipanon Peninsula in Warrenton, Oregon. The land is owned by Oregon Department of State Lands and leased to the Port of Astoria, which in turn has leased the land to Oregon LNG for 65 years. The 96-acre project site consists of a parcel of land located between the Skipanon Waterway and Youngs Bay.
The following is a quick summary of the Oregon LNG Project specifications:
Proposed Capacity: 1 BCF/day, expandable to 1.5 BCF/day
Tanks: 3 x 160,000 m3
Heat Source: Ambient air
C3+ Separation: Permitted on-site
Channel Depth: 43 ft. existing
Channel Width: 600 ft. existing
Berth: Up to 200,000 m3 ship; minimal dredging required
Site Location: 46 deg 10' 45" N; 123 deg 54' 25" W;
Site Control: 65-year lease of 96-acre site acquired

I think there might be a little piping work in that project...
Piping bump...
Eventually, if actually designed then built...
Any clue on who or whom is doing the piping on that project???
I’m kinda still available these days...
“The terminal, to be located on Coos Bay in Oregon...”
“The proposed Oregon LNG Project will be located on the east side of the Skipanon channel on the Skipanon Peninsula in Warrenton, Oregon...”
Warrenton is a long was from Coos Bay...
I don’t think anyone is working this project beyond the conceptual phase.
I believe they are still in the permitting and promoting stage.
Good...
I know at least a few thousand pipers with resumes will inundate whomever that will be...
I know a lady who has 3000 of them on her desk, and will pull only about 200 (tops) for a project that needs them about the middle of next month...
You know thats the best lead anyone has had in almost a year now???
“Oregon LNG proposes to construct and operate an onshore LNG receiving terminal and associated facilities on the East Bank Skipanon Peninsula (ESP) near the confluence of the Skipanon and Columbia Rivers at Warrenton, Clatsop County, Oregon”
I'm betting the journalist was wrong and the map is correct.

Would that be CB&I for Ecopetrol’s Cartagena Refinery expansion project?
I mixed up projects.
There are (at least) two ongoing projects for building an LNG import Terminal. Both locations are correct, but the original article I posted is NOT about the project I linked it to.
The project from the article is located at:
The CORRECT Project discussed in the article:
Jordan Cove Energy Project Overview:

No fun taking a ship/boat over the Columbia River Bar at times...
**Eventually, if actually designed then built...**
Can you guys get it built before the Siera Club finds out it’s Planned???
Not when it takes years of public review of permits...

Actually there are three.
I believe that the one closest to reality (at present) is the one at Bradwood about 20 miles upstream from Astoria on the CR.
