I consulted in Dayton, probably spent four or five afternoons in the AF museum, and still didn’t see everything...

If you get a chance, do visit, but, if you’re a military aircraft nut, be prepared to be overwhelmed. Take lots of film and/or extra batteries.

I like jets (F-5 being my favorite), but the Spitfire was just unreal...

As I said, if you can, just go! One of everything is there.

You've also got their interceptor cousin, the YF-12. I've walked under that little lady and stroked her belly. Long time ago though.
