*Even the so-called good guys like Palin, DeMint, Bachmann*
You know this how?
Palin has done more for the cause of Conservatism since Reagan.
She and her family have been trashed by the Liberal media
and uneducated FReepers.
It has cost her over half a million of her own money fighting off 18 frivolous law suits that have been thrown out and still dogged by the Left because she speaks the truth.
I think you need to reread my post. You sure took it the wrong way.
I've been a pretty big supporter of Sarah Palin on this forum (check my posting history if you don't believe me). But I haven't seen ANYONE on our side really take a stand. Read my last post to get an idea of what I'm talking about. I'm not trying to trash Sarah (she's not even an elected official right now and she has no "technical" obligation to do anything), but if she wants to truly be up on the pedestal that some Freepers have put her upon, now is the time for her to make a bold stand. If she, or any of the rest of the establishment politicians won't, then we will know that they value their careers, perks, and comforts over liberty.
The anger and passion in the people have been stirred up, but we have no focal point and no direction. If we had a leader on the national level to point us in the right direction and unleash us, things would be a lot different. I'm not saying we need to follow a leader like cattle, but we need someone to rally us. We all feel like we are alone and can't fight this battle by ourselves. A leader can pull us together and give us strength to fight. I believe we have our Thomas Paines of our times, but where our George Washingtons?
