I just saw the video clip of the exchange. Our senator came off as a completely pompous and arrogant a...hole.

When has Al Franken ever been courteous? He so far is a cheat, liar and thug. In other words no class; especially when you saw his wife have to try to calm him.

A very stupid move from a Senator of a Party who is trying to capture his vote on health care.

Franken. You mean they let him be in charge. I didn’t think he was ready to have the training wheels off yet?

Franken was presiding over the Senate Thursday afternoon Finally, a horse's ass presides over the senate. Caligula would be proud. As a citizen, I know I am.
Poor John McCain, he rose and angrily denounced the action. Lamenting what is going on. This is what the Dims are, John. They HATE America. They played you for a fool and you went right along with it!

Objection to additional time was also made earlier in the day when Sen Cornyn was speaking. I think the objection was made by the new Alaska senator who was presiding officer. When Senator Cornyn questioned him on the reason for his objection and pointed out that no other Senator was in the chamber, he withdrew his objection.
This looks like presiding senators may have been instructed by leadership to limit time for speakers. Petty attempt at payback for Senator Corburn requiring them to read the Sanders amendment. Childlike, but certainly in character for Senator Reid and his leadership team.

A fellow Freeper once assured me that, knowing him in real life, hes actually quite a nice person. Ben Stein also adores the guy.
Michael Medved says he is detestable.

The heck with next Tuesday....I'd take tonight.
I have to think at least 70 Senators think he's a total joke..to the history of the Senate.
But...he will probably be a fixture for 30 yrs and be a senior Senator.
Sigh...............
