Complete with a raft of documents and exhibits, fired AmeriCorps Inspector General Gerald Walpin on Wednesday filed a motion for summary judgment in his lawsuit demanding reinstatement to his job -- his own motion not even waiting for the judge to rule on the Obama administration's motion to dismiss the case without hearing or trial. A close perusal of his motion, affidavits, and exhibits suggests to me, for the first time, that this case has potential to reach the Supreme Court regardless of how the lower court rules.... Thus we get a glimpse of the tangled web of interests and embarrassments of Obama allies on which the firing of Mr. Walpin put a kibosh. In logic if not in law, this raises the specter of obstruction of justice....

2. Various news agencies report a link between Americore, Acorn, and Acorn Housing. (Before the Bartbreight material released)
3. Acorn has a pattern of being connected to voter fraud through out the US.

So IMHO, when the GOP takes the House back in 2010 Holder has to be their number one target of Barry's criminal organization, aka: 'Administration'. Have him in front of every committee, sub-committee, and sub-sub-committee -- testifying under oath 24/7/365. Then just catch him in one little 'discrepancy' in his testimony. And if he refuse to appear, no problem, have the House Sergeant of Arms drag him in handcuffed and shackled.
I think Liz nailed the most serious Walpin find. If we ever want to have a legitimate election we need to get this corruption stopped. Please ask freepers on your list to contact IRS, FBI or Cuomo's office and to send this information to others.

But the Federal Laws ACORN knowingly and flagrantly violated numbers in the hundreds, i.e.: Numerous counts of wire fraud alone. Then there's all the IRS violations.
Plus Federal convictions are stricter. The judges have sentencing guidelines they must follow as to a minimum of years. And iirc, a prison term of ten years means ten years. There isn't any 'day off per day of good behavior' as in states where you're out in five years (or 1/2 your sentence).

Other crimes could include government fraud, multiple conspiracies, kickbacks, tax evasion (all of it to facilitate money laundering). Conspiracy counts alone might include mail fraud, electronic fraud, and accounting fraud.
L/E might consider:
(a) conspiracy to defraud the IRS, and evade US banking laws,
(b) international money laundering,
(c) conspiracy to commit money laundering, and,
(d) aiding and abetting the preparation of false federal/state income tax returns.
Authorities might examine the books to expose bogus charitable contributions (the IRS says this is the biggest n/p fraud---the MO to launder money). There could be multiple conspiracies and transfers of govt funds as part of a money-laundering conspiracy.
Government audits might show off-the-books bank accounts that were accessed solely by insiders, and that government-funds were used in various illegal schemes that might have integrated:
(1) money laundering,
(2) tax evasion (stolen money is taxable),
(3) violations of US banking and currency laws,
(4) conspiracy to commit wire fraud,
(5) commercial bribery in various financial schemes,
(6) establishing secret offshore bank accounts outside the purview of the IRS and US banking laws,
(7) fraudulent and casual accounting practices,
(8) non-existent financial oversight,
(9) having a hidden financial interest in companies faking business with the company,
(10) putting phantom employees on the payroll (money laundering).
It could be postulated that co-conspirators were helping to launder proceeds from drug cartels and organized crime activities into AmeriCore accounts.
There's a zillion ways to launder money. Drug monies could have been disguised by re-routing monies. Company may have routed the scheme through telephone lines with a maze of complex telecommunications' systems equipped with call-forwarding and voice mail systems, and numerous postal and commercial mail boxes..........and perhaps money-transfer systems that operate in ethnic enclaves and places like NYC's Diamond District.
Investigators may discover numerous falsified official documents.
Drug monies could have been disguised by re-routing through a network of domestic and international bank accounts using counterfeit checks.....opening commercial bank accounts in the name of bogus businesses and wire-transferring and/or depositing gov't checks into those accounts.
Phony checks could have had invalid bank routing numbers, forged endorsements, or been drawn on the proceeds of other counterfeit checks deposited in other bank accounts. Before banks discovered the fraud, the funds might have been transferred out of the accounts……probably offshore----leaving banks unable to recoup their losses.
State and federal tax authorities could have been swindled. In an international scheme with offshore ties, co-conspirators or subsets of them, might have obtained hundreds of taxpayer identification numbers for phantom citizens with worldwide addresses, and used the information to evade US taxes and banking laws.
In a classic fraud, co-conspirators might keep two (or more) sets of books. Methods may have included limited-recourse loans to artificially inflate "asset value," to fraudulently borrow real money based on “assets” that didn’t really exist.
ACTIONABLE OFFENSES MIGHT INCLUDE:
(1) Encouraging the filing of false documents;
(2) Rigging legislation to benefit a special interest.
(3) Forcing taxpayers to underwrite crimes against the state without their knowledge or consent (constitutes the crime of second degree coercion of taxpayers, and should beprosecuted at once);
(4) Not reporting crimes against the state (aiding and abetting).

Big fans of Arthur Conan Doyle; however, we spoke of this film after seeing the trailers. My bride & I both agreed the Basil Rathbone - Nigel Bruce films would be awfully hard to top.

We were unanimous guessing the Hollyweird flakes will butcher the characters Holmes, Watson, Mrs Hudson etc to a point where those who remember the novels and classic B&W films will be left wondering WTF we just viewed & feeling pick pocketed. Just as we have for 9 of every 10 motion pictures we've seen over the past umpteen years. It's a 'fool me once', thing.
Besides that a new Sherlock Holmes, even if excellent, is just as easily viewed on our home entertainment system as opposed to a visual extravaganza such as what Avatar's being promoted.
