So, let me get this straight. It is about Sarah, or is it about JD? The attempt to paint Sarah into a corner goes on by the PDS crew, I see. One day, she is stupid, and unawares. Next day, she is flighty and vindictive. Yet, she goes to the beach with her husband and kids, and gets into "trouble" because she inks out McCain on a cap. When questioned, she says she supports Juan McPain.

I don't like him, either.

But, I have read her book. I have listened to her speak. I have watched Zero and his minions respond to her FaceBook posts, and WashCompost/NYTidalmarsh editorials. I have discovered that she is human. Damn. I was hoping for Wonder Woman, with a magic lasso. Instead, I found a smart, sensible, loving mother and wife, who got into politics to make a difference. She was invited to the national dance by Juan.

What a surprise. Sarah actually has the nerve to dance with the "guy who brung her". She didn't say anything about the Arizona race. But, the JDites are scared that Sarah has that much power...

I’m not voting for wife and mother of the year. I want a Maggie Thatcher if it is going to be a female.

Keep doing what you are doing.

Sarah is doing what she needs to do as a politician, gather votes and support anywhere she can.

Sadly it seems many who should know better around here forget that to win elections it is the guy (or gal) with the most votes who comes out on top.

Palin is in a damned if you do damned if you don't situation with a vocal few on the right and many on the left. Similar voices that labeled her a quitter for leaving office would now label her "disloyal" for dissing McCain.

Palin, like many of us, knows the reality of the current political landscape, to get anywhere she will have to run as a Republican, period. To run and win she will have to attract all Republicans and many independents, and McCain, as despicable as he is, is still what passes for a GOP power player.

Without the win, and the number of votes from all the different factions across the spectrum, it won't matter if Palin is the second coming of Reagan or the second act of Richard the Third, she, and conservatives in general, will once again have no voice.
