Don’t expect much out of Joel Osteen - he is too busy with the “Name-It, Claim-It” Prosperity gospel to worry about something as “insignificant” as sin... I have NEVER heard him “preach” (if you can call rambling on about feel-good promises of wealth, health, and good times if you just “believe”, often without any scripture at all, preaching...) about the danger of sin. The condemning reality of sin. The horrible price of sin.
But if you smile big enough, and REALLY believe that God will bless you - then you will be blessed....
Ain’t that good enough?
Now I have to go puke...
I have to agree with you about Osteen. At first his message seems full of hope - but after awhile you realize it is the same sermon, over and over again. Smile, be happy, God will bless you if you are happy - He tells you the end result but not how to get there. It’s sort of like the liberal crap spewed at school children: you can achieve anything (but they don’t give them the tools to get there)
