He may be a "nice" man - I'm not sure. I was at a *very* private reception many, many years ago in which he was the guest of honor. He was excessively arrogant and refused to acknowledge anyone in the receiving line. It was very, very odd.

I’ve never met Prince Charles in person. He came to the campus where I was a student but I wasn’t among the students who were invited to meet with him. I did see him from a distance—I was in a third-floor library and saw him down below on street level, being heckled by pro-IRA demonstrators (”England out of Ireland—Charlie go home!”).
