Exactly. In direct opposition to who God is and what He says. I am that I am. I am the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Truth does NOT change, it cannot change; otherwise it is not Truth. Only God is Truth. Man changes 'their' doctrine at their own will, God's doctrine of Truth never changes. To lay claim their changes are God inspired is wicked - when He specifically says - I NEVER CHANGE. We ask God to change us to conform to His Word. We are to renew our mind.Think about that the next time you open your "new testament."

God’s plan of salvation was fulfilled in the New Testament and it was spoken about in the Old. I don’t see the old and new as separate, but as a continuation - and each one explaining the other. Jesus quoted Isaiah to John the Baptist when he questioned ‘are you the One’. It’s ONE Word. Don’t need a reminder of Who my God IS nor what my Jesus has done for me and everyone!
