I live in Hampshire County. Tuesday, I will trek across the state to a meeting near Parkersburg. To get there, I must drive north for almost an hour on two-laners, to I-68, then west for an hour or so, to Morgantown, then south another hour on I-79, to Rt. 50 for another 60 or so miles, on 4-lane. I could take Rt. 50 the whole way, and save miles, but it would take 30 minutes longer. This way, I can even use cruise control.
I love WV! I am a native Tarheel. I'll be glad when they complete the Robert Byrd Appalachian Highway system...
