It says that He did something, and saw that it was good.

Why read more into it than it says?
Why would you treat someone seeing something as poetic?
Because if God simply creates something, He knows precisely what He is creating, and KNOWS that this is good. He does not NEED to see if it's good or not. So either this phrase in Genesis is redundant, or it means more than YEC is willing to admit.
