"That depends which member of the Darwin family you are referring to."

I can understand your theological opposition to the theory of evolution but an ad hominem attack on its author neither establishes is as the fact or paints your beliefs in a good light. There are those among us who believe that Charles Darwin only revealed a creation of God.

Yet neither ever spoke against the concept of patents and copyright which assures private ownership of intellectual property.

Agreed, Natural Law. Neither Einstein nor Bohr ever did, to the best of my knowledge. Perhaps both realized it would be foolish to adopt a policy of "socializing" intellectual property. (I.e., that would be a great way to ensure that scientific creativity goes into a deep, irrecoverable swoon....) I think they meant "science as a public enterprise" in a different sense.

Bohr, for instance, puts the onus on scientists to communicate their findings in ways accessible to reasonable, intelligent members of the public. Then the findings themselves must be widely publicized — not just crammed into specialist/professional, peer-reviewed journals. The public has the right to know what is going on, and to understand the issues. For the results of science have been known to have profoundly disturbing effects on the public sphere. After all, "Bohr's atom" eventuated in the thermonuclear bomb.

Isn’t that an awesome video?! I love it.

Jesus is the KING of Kings, and LORD of Lords.

None of this, we can become ‘Gods’ malarkey.

That's odd, I don't believe I've discussed evolution in quite some time.

but an ad hominem attack on its author neither establishes is as the fact or paints your beliefs in a good light.

I haven't made any attacks on Charles Darwin either.

There are those among us who believe that Charles Darwin only revealed a creation of God.

As a rule, I don't discuss creation vs. evolution. In fact, I think the entire debate is a ploy by the Darwinists to avoid having to talk about their actual agenda.

I am far more concerned with the sinister side of Darwinism. That would be eugenics, for well over half a century IT was the popular Darwinist theory. The eugenics movement was begun and promoted by the Darwin family and Hitler was a devoted fan. These are FACTS, you may not like them, but they are still the facts.

It is NOT a lie, Resty. Your own LDS History of the (LDS) Church states it:

Joseph Smith delivered a sermon in Nauvoo, Illinois, in May, 1844, shortly before his death in which he said:

” I have more to boast of than any man had. I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam. A large majority of the whole have stood by me. Neither Paul, John, Peter, nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such work as I”(History of the Church, Vol.6, pp. 408-09).

Far cry from what the Bible says:

May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. (Galations 6:14)

"Bohr, for instance, puts the onus on scientists to communicate their findings in ways accessible to reasonable, intelligent members of the public."

That is because Niels Bohr and Albert Einstein, not unlike many of their peers, never claimed ownership of their discoveries, only credit for revealing what God had created. This is not unlike Charles Darwin who gets too much credit and too much blame for publishing his observations on Natural Selection and Evolution.

You know, I do kinda understand where Resty is coming from. When I was LDS, I THOUGHT I knew Jesus, but I just knew ABOUT Him, I didn’t KNOW Him.

It was a “head” knowledge, not a “heart” one. The LDS does not encourage (some leaders even speak against) a personal relationship with Christ. And I can see why. A personal relationship with Jesus leads people out of the LDS.

When I did come to KNOW Him, my heart was changed, my life was changed. I could never go back to being LDS, I could never deny my Savior the way they do.

The sad thing is, they don’t even realize it, nor do they realize what they are missing in having a relationship with The King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He is not some impersonal “elder brother” He is my Lord, my God, my Savior, my King, my All in All, the Bridegoom.
