What’s reprehensible is your attempts to induce quarrels between our brothers and sisters.

To undermine the process is to undermine the product. Well; theey've not added anything to it in about 2000 years; so it PROBABLY won't be growing anytime soon.
(Unlike the MORMONs; who are salivating for their Living Prophet® to give them some fresh word from GOD.)

Calling people apostates condemns them, and not from FR either.
Oh my!!
"Any Latter-day Saint who denounces or opposes, whether actively or otherwise, any plan or doctrine advocated by the 'prophets, seers, and revelators' of the Church is cultivating the spirit of apostacy..."
(Improvement Era, June 1945, p. 354)
Reinforced here......
MP3 File
This is the audio clip of Dallin H. Oaks, current Mormon Apostle leader, from the PBS documentary, "The Mormons", declaring unequivocally:
"IT'S WRONG TO CRITICIZE LEADERS OF THE (MORMON) CHURCH, EVEN IF THE CRITICISM IS TRUE."
Don't criticize?

Oh, they can say that their leaders were NOT speaking for GOD when they said ___WHATEVER__ but that's NOT the same as criticizing!
( Remember fellow Christians: the Mormon's criticize US because they've been taught that they CAN'T criticize ANY of their leaders; so they HAVE to vent somehow! )

Both of the approaches you suggest (Supreme Court action or Constitutional amendment) are fine with me.
What I reject is the idea of outlawing abortion by something like an executive order.

Just to show how much intolerance FR allows towards the LDS as you and a small group of anti who daily for almost a decade to take out of context and spin as well as to stalk LDS whenever spotted in open forums.Sweetheart: you've had MANY chances in these threads to EXPLAIN what JS 'learned' to be UNTRUE about PRESBYTERIANism; yet you refuse to do it.
1. You either do NOT know (strange - since you claim to have once BEEN a follower of that Denomination) the answer to the question, or...
2. You DO know; but for a reason known ONLY to you, you REFUSE to answer the question.

Emancipation Proclamation for the UnbornAnd indeed you have every right to desire that. But those who advocate it should do so openly, and not by stealth.
And in particular not by using vague weasel words. "I favor enforcing the law" means something entirely different from "I favor closing every abortion mart in America immediately by Presidential executive order". Heck, Obama has probably rationalized the crazed actions he's taking as "enforcing the law".
Any presidential candidate who intends to take such action should be crystal clear about that intent from day one of the campaign.

the "new testament" authoritatively interprets and "fulfills" the "old" is not self-evidently true
The old also speaks of the new - it works both ways. Jesus came to fulfill the law and He did just that. We are no longer under the 'law' but under grace. The new testament clearly shows that. If one choses to live under the law, they will be judged by the law. No one can honestly say they can live by the law. Remember what happened to the man when he picked up sticks on the Sabbath?
The law was imposed to show man what God's righteousness was. The religious were going around claiming to be righteous and He instituted the law to show what righteousness was and to reign in on all the lawlessness - and we ALL fall short and could never attain righteousness because of our sin nature. We needed a Savior.
Jesus, the spotless Lamb, came to fulfill the law for us. He covered the sins of all but many don't accept it; instead, think their good works or reading the bible or attending a service will get them to heaven. NOT SO! Unless one accepts Jesus as their Savior, who believe in what He did at The Cross, is covered. Even though he shed His blood for ALL. We must accept it by faith - not understand it - but by faith only. We receive salvation by His Grace through our faith in what He did for us. Jesus did His part - grace, we must do our part - faith. It's no wonder God's Word stresses obedience to His Word - whether we under stand it or not - obey first (faith) and understanding follows. Come to me as a child.
Why anyone thumbs their nose at a priceless paid in full gift is beyond me. Is it pride or a lack of knowledge - who knows. Jesus did his part but it's our decision in this lifetime where we want to spend eternity - according to HIS rules, not ours. It's not in God's hands, He already did everything so we can be with Him for eternity and that's what He wants and why Jesus came. That's why The Bible is called the Good News.
BTW, no offense taken or given.
