Agreed thank you as well. Please don’t take my questions about Mary as an attack against your faith. I really am trying to understand. It is hard to decipher the tone and intent of typed words sometimes.
The Holy Spirit lives within me.
Do us all a favor and let Him out once in a while.
The sin nature comes through the father, not the mother.
That is why Jesus was born sinless. Not because Mary was sinless, but because He didn’t have a human father.
He had to have a human mother in order to be born in a human body.
That still doesn’t answer the question of why Mary remaining a virgin is so critical. Sex within the confines of marriage is not a sin.
You need to brush up on the workings of the Holy Spirit. You comment warrants it.
I think you misunderstood my question. A few posts back you said something to the effect that if Mary had been born into original sin then Jesus would have been born into sin.
My question was then, how was Mary not born into sin, where her parents sinless? You said it was a mystery to you.
Then I asked obviously not very clearly :) that if God could mysteriously cause Mary to be born without original sin then why couldn’t God just have allowed Jesus to be mysteriously born without original sin even though Mary was born into original sin.

Probably. Its late for me too and it was 40 years ago that I decided against entering the Seminary. I'm not as conversant on a lot of this as I once was and should still be. Keep asking until you get what you want (it works for my wife and grand kids).

Roman Catholics and most Christians believe the "Fruit of the Spirit" consists of virtuous characteristics engendered in the Christian by the action of the Holy Spirit. They are those listed in Galatians 5:22-23:
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control."
The Roman Catholic Church adds to this list generosity, modesty, and chastity.
If the Holy Spirit is in you, not a whole lot is shining through.

I know and Natural Law knows that Jesus was born without original sin. We are discussing why. It was a hypothetical.
