I have never heard this before.

My thoughts on this, not surprisingly, mirror those of Cardinal Ratzinger (now Pope Benedict XVI) in that all that is really important from Creation is THAT God is the Creator. Discovering the processes used and the beauty and perfection of science only adds to His glory. I will not begrudge or belittle those who believe differently than me, but I will not passively accept insulting my belief system.

Never been a Rooty fan. I'm a proud Sarah Fan, and have been. Why is sign-up date a significant or deciding factor? I posted previously under another screen name. I re-signed when I moved to a new area, with a new screen name. My old one had grown stale. Sorry if that busts your balloon. I have been a frequent contributor and member since 2000. FR is my first place to look in the morning, and the last place I check at night. Email is usually secondary.

I have a bugzapper on my deck. It goes bzzzzzzzt. quite a bit during warm weather. But, now, it's pretty well silent.

I don’t know that any YECer would believe that God would create the fossil or geological record to look old. He did however create the first trees etc as mature.

The fossil/geological record would better be explained by the flood.

A navel is actually a scar so Adam and Eve having a navel would have been a deception IMHO. They never had an umbilical cord.
