ORANGE - Barack Obama accepted the Nobel Peace Prize today – but the president failed to get a school named after him in the Orange Unified School District.

The district's board voted unanimously tonight to deny a petition for a proposed charter school named after Obama.

The district held a public forum on Nov. 12 to determine public interest for the proposed charter school – which no one attended.

"It's unfortunate that we have to waste our time with this petition as I see it," said school board President John Ortega. "But we have to follow the Education Code and give this our due diligence."

If Obama is impeached at some point, does he get a Presidential Library? Would any facilities named after him revert to their former names?

This seems absolutely stupid. This guy isn’t in office for a year yet, and people already want to name schools after him.

When the truth starts to peel the paint from the walls, we’ll see how rotten and corrupt this administration truly is.

What country would his pres library be located, Indonesia? Kenya?
As for the schools, I think there already is an elementary school in MD that is named for the first historic rookie.

San Antonio, TX, still has an elementary school named for Sandra Day O’Connor but none for her patron, Ronald W. Reagan?

There was already a school somewhere renamed after him months and months ago. I think it was an elementary school.

From my perspective this not about parochial politics. This is about an individual who had no business being elevated to the highest political office in this country.

It's my observation that the thin veneer of integrity that many worked so hard to craft has been peeled back by all, regardless of persuasion.

Just what would be in his Presidential Library? His college thesis? His Harvard Law Review editorials? His college transcripts? Letters from friends???? There wouldn’t be anything from his past except for the past 15 years. Before that nothing.
