Prove it idiot.
Given how much GE stands to gain from “going green,” both you and Gore should be castrated and jailed as the criminals you both are.

How are we supposed to create green jobs again, you rich lib? Oh I forgot, GE has tons of windmills to sell..
To: cp124
Immelt should make a huge list of these heretofore new green job titles and the education level it takes to secure that job, and how much it pays.

American liberties sacrificed at the altar of corporate profit and political power.
You can’t do much about Immelt and his ilk, but you CAN throw your congressman out on his keister. Then, these smart-a** corporate types will have to break in a new congressman -— only to have HIM thrown out of office in another two years. See where I’m going with this?

That was yesterday. Today at West Point, he apologised for corporate greed, etc. It’s at FT.com via Drudge. I can’t link anything. This is horsesh$t at the first degree. He was at the first State Dinner at the WH and with all the $hit that happened, one must wonder about that agenda in the first place. He didn’t apologise to the 1400 employees at his plant in Erie, PA that were permanently $hit canned. This guy is dangerous for GE and the Country in general.

If green jobs are such a boon, they will emerge through private initiative and private capital. Industrious entrepreneurs will respond to the need if only the boot of the federal behemoth would simply be lifted from their backs. We don’t need more federal engineering of the economy.

There are VERY FEW green tech jobs currently. There are not going to be a lot of green tech jobs in the future. And even if there were, they are NOT going to be located in the United States. The morons in government have been on a 30 year rampage against US Manufacturing and they have driven out so much of it.
Immelt is a clown and a fool at best and a scum bag and worse at worst. He's a technological idiot and yet he's running one of the biggest high tech companies in the world. Go figure how company politics works.
If government subsidies were removed the entire Solar Power and maybe even the Wind Industries would collapse. They provide a very tiny amount of energy and will not provide much more for at least the next 20 years and probably longer than that if ever.

"The top executive of General Electric has told a South Carolina audience that green technology can help the environment, create jobs and grow the economy" ... especially since GE lobbyists and lawyers have been working for years to get inside all the right federal agencies, and have "news" networks to pimp products and paranoia.

I can't wait to start my new green job. We're all gonna get rich in the new economy I tell ya.
To: cp124
I remember seeing an interview where he candidly spoke of the whole "Ecomagination" PR campaign, and said basically it was hype, but it worked, and that appearing "green friendly" was NOT about saving the planet, but MAKING MONEY OFF THE HYPE.
I wish I remember where I saw that clip so I could post a link and validate my claim... it was probably from some time before or during the time I worked for GE... during/before 2007.

GE is the next buggy-whip maker with the idiot Immelt in charge. He’s put all his chips into the fraudulent global warming pot and will lose. I’m betting short on GE stock.
Soon, GE will be picked apart like a corpse in bankruptcy court.
And, no, king obuma can’t save GE. King obuma will have a tough time saving himself and his coterie of idiot fascists.

This man should not be allowed to steer anything. Conflict of interest a little. Ya think?
This is disgraceful and a stop needs to be put on it.
