Oh yeah, I've fired quite a few shells through it. You can fire 8 off in less than three seconds. It has the best semi-auto feed of any shotgun that I've seen, firing a hundred or so with no jams.

It isn't a hunting weapon and the barrel length is the best for home defense and protection rather than shooting clays. Before the AR's came forward, many PD's used them as SWAT entry and offensive weapons.
