That’s a great story!
Im not saying you should be afraid to be called a racist, but that doesnt mean you should make blatantly inappropriate statements either.
Your comments make me believe that you haven't read through this entire thread. Compare your charge to my commentary here, and I think you'll see that it's unjustified.
Here's the comment by whatisthetruth that I first replied to. It's my reply to this comment that I believe prompted your post to me:
"Must be some sort of innate jungle tribal instinct just too difficult for their race to overcome."
I disagree that my reply to that comment was inappropriate.
You said:
Compare Harlem in the 1920s to Detroit today. What changed? The massive proliferation of the entitlement mentality. Begun under FDR, sharpened to a fine point under LBJ, and used to destroy the black community ever since.
This is a true statement, and is at the root of the degradation and failure we see rampant in the black community today. I've seen the slide during my own lifetime, and can attest that liberal initiatives and social engineering in the black community have largely been the cause.
Not every black person, and not every black family has become the effect of this diabolical intrusion from the left. My own family successfully repelled this insanity due to strong group morals and ethics, which were handed down and reinforced by successive generations. Not everyone was as lucky as I was, to have been born into such a family.
As for me, I have to continue to keep my focus on the larger fight at hand, and that is the fight we're all a part of. We must execute a successful second American Revolution to restore this nation to its founding ideals and traditions. Hopefully, we can do this peacefully, though there's no guarantee of that.
When the patriotic right has restored our nation to some semblance of its former glory and greatness, then disillusioned and brainwashed blacks can come in from the cultural wilderness and join their countrymen as Americans.
Thanks. I have fun telling it. It still cracks me up. ;-)
You would be sleeping on the couch I guess.
Have to admit, I was just as taken aback initially (obviously, LOL). Glad everybody straightened that out.
In another post, you said:
African blacks may have borne some responsibility for their fall to whatever malevolent forces first began the long process of enslavement and degradation against them. I do know, for instance, that African tribes collaborated with the slave traders, and sold their fellow blacks into bondage in the 1600's.
That makes me think that a people who have such a long history of being bought and sold and viewed as inferior beings designed for simple labor had much to overcome in terms of perception of their own place in any society.
Now add the birth and rise of Marxism to the equation. That happened right around the time of the Civil War (The Communist Manifesto was written around the mid-1800's I believe) and populist movements gained steam here in the US through the late 1800's into the 20th century. So you had thousands and thousands of freed blacks trying to find a place in post-Civil War American society, and I believe they were easy pickings for the anti-capitalist/pro-worker philosophy (which evolved into the platform of the Democrat party). A people with a stronger collective sense of worth might not have been so vulnerable.
“In their case, there’s going to be a lot of weapons training in their upcoming home school years. “
I home schooled my daughter. Best of luck to you.
Windflier, maybe if the entire USA community knew the true bliss of a military society, things would be much better for all. Ignorance is a predominat factor in social understanding of people.
Thank you for your family’s and your service to our great country. Wishing your family and you a Merry Christmas.
Sincerely,
NSNR
the pistol might’ve been holstered in an extremely uncomfortable position as well...
No, I admit I did not. I saw an obviously inappropriate comment and I called him/her on it, but my "white anger" comment wasn't descriptive of that FR poster, just the general building attitude of negativity by white America against black America. As I'm sure you're aware, nothing happens in a vacuum, and actions have consequences. While it's certainly arguable (to a point) that whites more-or-less created the dependent class that exists today (and even that argument would be a serious stretch), the flat out anger and hatred directed to us by blacks from all over the country has basically taken any and all good will that whites wish to extend and smashed it. So, now a reasonable person sees any black person anywhere as a potential threat (physically, to a potentially undeserved job, etc.) merely because of the color of that person's skin. Wrong or right, that's just how it's become. I don't like it, but how else can we react? Hard working people who do what they're supposed to do (black and white) are smacked down by the dependents for "not doing enough." Well what the hell am I supposed to do? And how am I supposed to know which blacks actively hate me and which ones don't care about me either way and are just going about their business?
Literally, a great number of black people hate me, personally, though they don't know me, because I don't empty my bank account and hand all my money and possessions to the first black person I see. And even then they would hate me because they would demand to know why it took me so long.
These are the things that are truly plaguing the black/white race relations. All things being equal, I genuinely don't give a damn about skin color, but things aren't equal, and there are some incredibly scary, angry people that will do great harm to me and my family due to my skin color. Therefore it calls for my vigilance, and it angers me that it has to be this way. Especially for reasons that blacks actually do have control over, whether many of them choose to believe it or not. Schools exist. Scholarships exist. Libraries exist. Tutoring, mentoring, apprenticing, etc. all exist. But a great many pretend there are no opportunities for them, and it's my fault and the fault of many others who look like me.
There's no logic to the argument, no reasoning behind the demands, just pure anger and violence. And, frankly, whites are getting absolutely sick of it. What you're seeing on this thread from some of the less, shall we say, articulate among us, is some of that anger coming to the surface. I'm sure it upsets and angers you, I know I don't like to be talked to like that, but this is how things are coming to a head.
God help us if/when it's fully unleashed.
Obviously, that statement troubles me greatly, if I accept that the sentiment is widespread among whites. It's a pointed threat to my basic survival.
Outside of wearing some sort of conservative identity badge, I don't know how normal, hard-working, non-hating blacks can differentiate themselves from the "hate Whitey" class.
In my observation, one can tell a lot about a person within the first few seconds of observing them. Call it profiling, if you will. There are tell-tale indicators that any reasonably astute person can pick up on, if they're looking.
I would hope that most whites will continue to use their powers of observation when interacting with blacks, and not automatically condemn every black person they encounter on a purely reactive basis.
At the very least, I would hope that they give each black person they meet an opportunity to show them who and what they really are before they judge.
Obviously, there are some "profiles" that will put any white (or black) person on an immediate defensive posture. I don't blame anyone for reacting that way to obvious bad indicators.
All things being equal, I genuinely don't give a damn about skin color, but things aren't equal, and there are some incredibly scary, angry people that will do great harm to me and my family due to my skin color.
I could have written the exact same statement. To this day, I am still uneasy about going into certain zones or regions of the country, even though I live in a semi-rural area that some would describe as cow country. I've lived with that uneasiness all of my life. It's eased up a great deal over the last couple of decades, but it's not gone completely.
Like you, I am disheartened that things are this way. We were supposed to be past all of this by now, but race hustlers like Jackson and Sharpton have continued to stoke the fires of racial division and hate for decades. I blame that cottage industry for the overt hatred you see among some blacks today. It's unreasoning, and totally manufactured, as far as I can tell. When I was a kid, this was a rare attitude among blacks.
Appreciate the kind words, NSNR. I hope that you and yours have a wonderful Christmas, too.
If I ever move to Denver, I’ll be carrying 24/7. Not going to a bar is something I’ll live with. It’s cheaper at a store anyway.
A people with a stronger collective sense of worth might not have been so vulnerable.
I believe this is precisely what happened.
It began in earnest with FDR's New Deal, and continued with LBJ's Great Society welfare programs. These government entitlement industries were largely directed at blacks, and served to undermine their self-worth, and to atrophy their ability to fend for themselves. In time Uncle Sam replaced the father in many black homes, which resulted in the breakdown of the basic family unit among blacks.
Today, fully 70% of black children are born out of wedlock, blacks are greatly over-represented in the prison population, and there is a high percentage of black single parent households. This is cultural destruction on a massive scale, yet Democrats, liberals, and most blacks have their eyes firmly glued shut to these facts.
I believe that once blacks were given the right to vote, they were targeted as a potential voting bloc which could be manipulated into monolithically voting for "the hand that feeds", i.e., the Democrats.
Most folks may not know this, but blacks had to be pried away from the Republican party. Until FDR's time, most blacks voted with "the party of Lincoln". My grandparents were all lifelong Republicans.
Many blacks of my grandparents' generation resisted the temptation to switch parties, and saw through the transparent snake oil sales of FDR's time, but their kids fell for it across the boards. JFK and LBJ went on to solidify the Democrat lock on the black vote.
I wouldn't be worrying about skin color either, just center of mass.
Denver would be an excellent testing ground for that weapon.
Not these day, they were not in uniforms and in front of polling places...ops sorry wrong AG.
They should do federal time
Not according to the parents of the suspects and radio host Peter Boyles. They are now against hate crime laws.
These incidents are not crimes. These individuals were following the mantra of hope and change. They are just spreading the wealth a little. Besides, we are only talking about a difference of methods. These fine individuals used their fists to spread the wealth. The rats are using the power of government. Personally, I would rather take my chances with these individuals.
Bush’s fau....er...Lincoln’s fault
