Who Says There’s No Difference Between Democrats and Republicans?

Before you can fix anything you need to identify the cause of the problem. Whether it’s a car that won’t run or a basement that’s flooded, you cannot solve the problem until you figure out what’s creating it.

When it comes to this nation’s financial troubles, the source of the problem is pretty obvious. But apparently not obvious enough, as even some on the right are having difficulties locating it.

For lack of a better way of identifying them, I’ll call this specific group of free-market advocates the third party crowd.

This particular breed of conservative seems to believe that both parties are to blame for America’s fiscal woes.

Despite the political battles that we have witnessed just this year, these conservatives continue to cling to the view that both groups of Washington politicians are pretty much the same.

Unlike those on the left who have bought into the entire myth promulgated by the liberal establishment that Democrats are good and Republicans are bad, these folks seem to have bought into just the second part.

Sure, it goes without saying some Republicans are corrupt.......

Republicans in the US Senate are not trying to defeat or delay the Health care bill, only improve it with their own amendments.

Me for one. Their rhetoric differs but the results will be the same . The pubs are letting the dems do the dirty work . The pubs know that thru no fault of their own they will one day be back in power . They will delight in the additional control and tax money . A Parliament of whores .

Elected Republicans won’t fight the left-wing takeover of America. We have no one to turn to.

There’s no difference.

It’s the elites over the ordinary people. The elites have calculated that they can use the underclass to overwhelm ordinary freedom-loving people by force of numbers. The mass media is their instrument of control.

I don’t know where this is all going, but I don’t think it’s going to end well.

Two quotes I read that have been re-quoted many times...I do not remember the original sources...

The stupid party and the evil party. Once in a while they get together to do something both stupid and evil. They call it bipartisan.

Here's another one:

Republicans love the warfare state and pretend to hate the welfare state, while Democrats love the welfare state and pretend to hate the warfare state.

“This particular breed of conservative seems to believe that both parties are to blame for America’s fiscal woes. “

This is not the same as saying there is NO difference between the two, (Republicans and Democrats).

I am in the camp that blames both parties.

Have you heard any Republicans come out against the "health care" reform on the grounds it's Unconstitutional?

No, they accept the premise of a government take over but just want to do it in their own way, just like a Rat.

I agree. I like Beck and he usually makes some good points. But this third party stuff is nonsense (his support of a VAT is also absurd under any conditions). There are only 3 types of people that support a 3rd party. Some are somewhat misguided, but principled Conservatives dissatisfied with Republicans. Others are superficial populists looking for a movement. The third are the most dangerous: the fifth column Marxists. The third faction of the third party movement may be small but they will be well funded by George Soros and the international left. With Alinsky’s book in hand, they happily engage in subterfuge for the unholy cause of the left.
Continuing the trajectory of 0bama’s policies will leave him extremely weak in 2012. The left will gladly support a populist third party to keep 0bama and his Marxists in control.

Our daughters. A modern parable

A man and his wife were blessed by the birth of triplet daughters. With this blessing coming later in life, they named the girls Autumn, Summer and Winter. Amazed by the miracle they vowed to use all of their being to raise, educate and nurture their daughters.

Beginning at a young age they taught the girls the values: charity, courage, gratitude, honesty, hope, humility, moderation, respect, responsibility, sincerity, thrift and work. These life lessons were given with love and compassion.

The girls embraced these values with open arms and grew to become beautiful vibrant young ladies. As life would have it, a day came when the daughters announced that they were ready to go out on their own. They had decided to go in separate directions taking the values learned and make their own mark on the world.

Summer headed west, Autumn east and Winter stayed near home. On their own they begin to get a taste of the world. After a while, they each met a man, fell in love and looked forward to marriage. Before their weddings, the girls queried of their beloveds, the man's feeling regarding the values they were raised upon.

Summer's young man agreed that the values were nice and sounded good, but indicated more fun could be had if the values were ignored. Summer was conflicted, but love and lust overcame the value decision. She and her young man were married and began their lives to together. Together they set out to live the life of free spirit without responsibilities.

Together they begged, cheated, lied and stole to survive. As times became worse and need for money greater, Summer was given by her husband to other men for their pleasure.

Eventually, Summer’s husband grew tired of her, and in a fit of rage he beat her and left her to die. In a single grasp, Summer’s life had ended. The man and his wife never heard from Summer again.

On the other hand, Autumn’s young man embraced and declared his support for the values held dear to her heart. Proud Autumn called home and told the man and his wife about the nice man and their decision to be wed. Autumn and her husband began their life together and set to make a mark on the world.

Autumn’s husband got a job working for a powerful firm that provided them a good income. Autumn thought was life was good. Then there was a dire change.

Autumn’s husband began to ignore the values she revered. Unexplained sums of money were found hidden in the home. Mysterious phone calls were received in the middle of night. Meetings were held with people unknown to her. She found lipstick on his shirt collar.

Autumn confronted her husband, he denied any wrong doing. He said “You enjoy the benefits of my work. I do what I have to do to keep my job.” Autumn agreed and dismissed her concerns.

Later, Autumn awoke one morning feeling ill. She went to the doctor. After the examination, the doctor told her she had been poisoned. Autumn was aghast. Questions raced through her mind. How? When? Where? Who? The doctor told her the poison was placed in her food and that the tampered had occurred over a long period of time.

Not knowing what to Autumn called the man and his wife to seek counsel. Autumn was told by those that loved her, to leave her husband and never seem him again. Autumn argued with the justifications for keeping her husband.

Not satisfied with the opinion of the man and his wife, Autumn sought out the opinions of her friends. Each of them counseled that her husband was good, perhaps just misdirected and if confronted he return to the values Autumn cherished. Not thinking, Autumn failed to realize that her friends were her husband’s friend.

Once again Autumn confronted her husband and once again he denied any wrongdoing and said the he lives the same values. Autumn again gave in and accepted his explanations. Autumn did not know that her husband was actually lying about everything.

After a while Autumn, sensed things were still not right and began to investigate. She found that her husband had been lying to her. She confronted him once again. This time he grew angry, said he was growing tired of her accusations, beat her violently and left her for dead. In a single gasp, Autumn’s life had ended. The man and his wife never heard from Autumn again.

Winter’s young man , from a young age had been taught by his parents with love and compassion the values: charity, courage, gratitude, honesty, hope, humility, moderation, respect, responsibility, sincerity, thrift and work, shared the values Winter held dear to her heart. Winter returned home with her young man. The young man met the man and his wife, asked for the hand of Winter in marriage and received their blessing.

Winter and her husband lived a long prosperous live, while holding strong to the values: charity, courage, gratitude, honesty, hope, humility, moderation, respect, responsibility, sincerity, thrift and work. They too were blessed with the birth of triplet daughters. The man and his wife enjoyed seeing their daughter become a wonderful mother.

The question left by the story is why and is this truly a parable.

Looking further, and putting into our current context here are the cast of characters:

Man – Life

His Wife – Liberty

Their Marriage – The pursuit of happiness and the foundation of our nation

Their daughters – We the People

Autumn’s young man – Democratic candidates

Summer’s young man – Republican candidates

Winter’s young man – Unaffiliated candidates

Elected Republicans can't fight the Marxist take over of America because their numbers were whittled down to almost nothing.

Democrats/Marxists control 60 out of 100 votes in the Senate as evidences by the vote to bring the socialist healthcare bill to the floor. All Democrats voted for it and no Republican voted for it. So even if Republicans in the Senate wanted to stop this bill ( which they do ) they couldn't.

All elected Democrats are Marxists.
Are all of you 3rd party advocates saying that All elected Republicans are Marxists? If you are not then support the Republican party as that is the only way to stop the Democrats/Marxists.

In addition to regular liberals/Marixsts,it is because of you 3rd party advocates that the Democrats have a super majority in Congress and a filibuster proof Senate. So it is the fault of you 3rd party advocates that the Democrats are using their absolute power to destroy America ,its wealth and the living standards of the American people.

In fact, there is very little difference between Democrats and Republicans. A few ethical and moral differences but when it comes to sound financial policy and intelligent and competent leadership there is no difference. Both are for a huge government. Both are for a controlling government. Both are for deficit spending. Both believe they are smarter than the citizens. If there was a real difference there would be no energy department, no education department, always balanced budgets, no Medicare, no Social Security, very few taxes, a small, if any, national debt, very few restrictions on the private sector and a policy that hammers home to Americans that you are responsible for your well being and not the government. Sorry, but there is little difference between D's and R's.

We will have to work on the R’s. The D’s are hopeless and dangerous. Parties are only a means to an end, they are only a vehicle to advance your cause. Fix up the R vehicle. If you wait to build your shiny new third party vehicle, the Marxists will have taken over and will have outlawed vehicles.(including 2nd and 3rd parties).

I have noticed a concerted effort lately to point out to Republican leaning and right-leaning voters that “there really is a difference between the 2 parties”, followed by a list of policy differences.

To me, it is the trajectory that doesn’t change regardless of who is elected — the scope and scale and deficits and intrusions and failures of the federal government grow every day regardless of which party is in power.

Democrat voters vote for the government.

The rest of us don’t have a real alternative anymore, because while the Republicans say they are the party of small government and fiscal responsibility and law and order, they apparently don’t have the spine to actually do anything about it.

Reference the post above yours.

Republicans in the US Senate are not trying to defeat or delay the Health care bill, only improve it with their own amendments.

Rush credited John Kyle with that statement this morning, looks like the fix is in, and that without remedy.

Old people cost too much money......

Then fix the Republican party. It has been done during Reagan and can be done again. Get involve in the primary process especially at the county level.
If the third party movement inadvertently gives 0bama the 2012 election, it will probably be too late to save the nation from a permanent one party Marxist state with a permanent command economy. Maybe then we could work for secession or just leave.
Great.
