good point. For example, 3rd party candidates are rarely a good idea, even if GOP candidate is a RINO. Only exception would be something like Dede in NY-23 (ACORN/union/planned parenthood supported fringe leftie).
Tea Parties should try to work within GOP and influence who are GOP candidates and what policies are adopted.

The Tea Party isn't a new Party...It won't be registered as a Party...It IS a takeover of the Republican Party as we know it...
You can't work with the RNC and the Newt Grinches, we have to shove em under the bus and start the Grand New Party...

Written in January of 2009 (pre-Tea Party movement.) It uses the term “Free Conservative Movement” instead of “Tea Party Movement”, but what it describes is EXACTLY what the Tea Party Movement is becomming.
It contains a description of how a conservative movement like this can take back the Republican party (it will not be easy though.)
