If this is the case, then it is true but misleading in the context of the story to say he was “not on the flight.” (It was not a flight yet because it had only taxied on the ground.)
Exactly. He was “not on the flight” because he got off before take-off, but after the kerfuffle. (I’m not saying that is the case, just asking.. and yes, that would definitely be misleading).
