Please keep your personal "scholarly" fundamentalist rhetoric to yourself.. I'm not interested in boiler plate judgementalism attacking my faith which, if I'm not mistaken, is still the largest Christian denomination in the world.
Division within Christianity doesn't seem...at least to me what Christ intended. Mankind, in the 16th century fractured the Christ's Church on earth. The errors were created by man then and even to this day. Satanic influence using man's "PRIDE", fragmented the Church built on the Rock. Martin Luther was right about the wrongs medieval men perpetrated in the faith but that holy and pious monk considered himself still a Catholic until his last breath.
Mankind's weaknesses were evident even by Peter during Jesus' passion. My faith is unmoved by your self "scholarly" diatribe. My faith is based on 2000 years of sacramental and apostolic ritual handed down by clergy by the "Laying of the Hands" on every priest from the beginning to the very present. The Catholic Church didn't begin with some modern "REFORMER" founding a seminary teaching self professed doctrine of self professed "truths". The Church instituted by Christ WILL survive and the gates of Hell WILL NOT prevail against it.
I entered this thread when MY beliefs were attacked. Read thru many of the comments at the opening of this thread - I have the right to defend my beliefs from attacks by Catholics.
YOUR first comment on this thread was an attack on Anglicans - and while I most definitely NOT Anglican, those who attack shouldn’t whine if someone jumps in and responds. If you don’t want a fight, don’t pick one.
