I do not want to make a judgment, but if I do, it certainly won’t be based on what the family’s PR reps or pundits on CNN or even FOX NEWS tell me. Just because the American media says the Italian media is messed up...does not mean we should trust what our own messed up American media says.
We are only getting one side of the story, we are not getting the Italian judges’ side, or the jurors’ side, or the prosecutor’s side, or witnesses(?), etc...etc...
AT the end of the day, none of us were in the courtroom.
Ultimately, GOD will be her judge and I take comfort in that.
That’s what I’ve been trying to say.
All we know is what the media has chosen to tell us. We didn’t see the evidence or hear the testimony.
We just don’t know.
According to Dateline NBC, the prosecutor was one of those people that believe in satanic child-molesting cults. He has prosecuted several of those cases over the years. Sort of like the persecution of the day-care operators in Wenatchee, WA.
This is a big show trial because of the British press. They whipped everyone into a frenzy and put tremendous pressure on the Italian justice system to convict these two young adults. Like somehow it couldn't have been a typical rape/murder by the animal that left DNA evidence all over the place.
My guess is that after the media hoopla dies down, they will overturn the convictions.
