This is the first I have heard of this story. I read all the articles that were linked on this thread. She is a beautiful looking girl and I’d like to think she was not guilty, but I suspect her own inconsistent stories may have done her in, and that there was a compelling reason why she couldnt keep her story straight.
On the other hand, the prosecution’s case and its own credibility appears to be greatly compromised as well.
The BF’s alibi didnt pan out with his internet provider.
The dude who is already convicted and in jail appears to be the most culpable.
I am not convinced that her DNA that was found in her apt means anything. I have knives in my kitchen that have my DNA on them, but I havent injured anyone with them.
I also think the motives given by the State are WEAK, but her inconsistent stories are problematic for me.

She reportedly was questioned for days without a lawyer and beaten during the process, including all night “questioning.”
Italian juries convict on a simple majority and are not sequestered from media etc.
Whether she is guilty or not,and I think not, she did not get a fair trial and would not have been tried in the US at all.
From the outset this was a case of America bashing.
