Prosecution? I doubt that will happen. I think the data was covered under the British version of Freedom of Information.
“If they CC’d everyone on the e-mail list, all have to do is not delete them.”
They didn’t. There is no single Sender, Recipient, Subject or ther key word that ties these together. The files are not really “email” files. They’re “archive” files from a mail archive program. The author is right. The files are a thoroughly searched presentation.
As the days go by, more and more of the emails and computer files will be analyzed and disected.
In reading this analysis Andrew Bolt made me aware of new facts.
Considering the vast amount of information to dig through and the need to have a lot of prior knowledge about global warming, it does not surprise me that it will take another week or two for more suggestions like the one posited here are brought forward.
“Whether it was an inside job or not he was still a hacker.”
The point is that Boxer see’s “hacker” as criminal, “insider” is a whistle-blower, something that Dem’s don’t mind ala the CIA secrets revealed in the NYT’s. No outcry from them about this....but “hacker”? Don’t fuel the fire for Boxer.
The ONLY reason that this is a scandal ( in the liberal’s / main fringe media’s / Global Warming Hoaxsters eyes ) is that they got caught.
What if those emails were part of a emailing list and the person who has exposed this was on that emailing list ?
It is almost certain that the leak of 4000 documents from the University of East Anglia was not the work of a hacker but of a whisteblower. The sheer effort of retrieving, itemising and sorting all those documents, and of weeding out any that were purely personal or irrelevant, required someone who had not just the computer skills and the access, but who knew what was important, and had the motivation to put in countless hours of work....
Can I suggest perhaps the whistleblower has put into a very secure location certain very incriminating emails between Al Gore and CRU as a life insurance policy??
I don't know for sure but I thought I read somewhere that the file that was leaked was actually a file that had been requested by a FOI request but not released, or something along those lines. Anyway, as I understand it the file was all in one place and just copied and released.
Beck is better by lots, I don't like him a lot but far better than alex!
If it’s him, he’s a modern day hero ...

Mr. Wigley,
Do not eat salads, do not eat pizza—nothing by delivery, or served by others, do your own shopping and lock your doors ‘cause you are enemy #1 of the weather shamsters.
