Different people have the gall to interpret a fossil differently......and that's an "attack on religious freedom"!!!!!

Thank you. I thought I was the only one to notice that according to GGG's own JR quote, this thread belongs in Religion, not News/Activism:

Debate on church doctrine and or threads on specific religious matters may be best posted in the religion forum,

Reading the article excerpt and the responses, it is obvious that this thread is a debate on church doctrine and a specific religious matter.

the defense of religious freedom, especially against those who wish to deprive us of same belongs front and center on FR

No one in the article or posts is trying to deprive anyone of their religious freedom. Therefore, according to the guidelines posted by GGG, this thread doesn't belong in News/Activism, but Religion.

On the contrary, if you read the article, it's about the fossil that was classified as being a missing link not being such after all.

If it makes the news and is classified as science news but not religion when the discovery and conclusions were first made, then it should be classified as science news and not religion when the conclusions were changed.

I wasn't aware that changing the classification of a fossil was a religious decision. I thought that the scientists more closely examining the fossil were the ones to reclassify it.

I don't understand why the source of the article dealing with this fact is such an issue with the evolutionists.

Reading the article excerpt and the responses, it is obvious that this thread is a debate on church doctrine and a specific religious matter.

That's not what the article is about, but that is what the thread has deteriorated into.

As usual, the evolutionists have swarmed the thread, not to discuss the merits of the article, or the conclusions of the researchers, but to turn it into another religious spit wad war, a very common occurrence on the threads that GGG posts.

Their tactic very clearly seems to be to derail the thread and then complain that it's about religion, which they turned it into.

Since their participation on these threads usually amounts to no more than attacks on people's religious beliefs and causing sectarian infighting, one is forced to conclude that that was there whole intent from the start.

It's really simple. If the evos don't like these threads, they can just ignore them and leave us to what they think is our own delusions.

Nobody is forcing them to read these threads and GGG is not pinging them to them. They find them on their own and it's a feeding frenzy from there.
