Will she endorse McCain’s Senate reelection bid? Why didn’t he ask her that?

...you’re even more delusional than I thought.

Who's more delusional? Is it the guy touting a losing candidate with a grudge, or a guy spending time in support of a popular candidate with a welcome message? If the loser had a good message, he wouldn't be a loser... hmmm! You can try and twist and turn it, but it doesn't make her any lesser. It only makes you look so.

Sarah Palin has a message for a bright America. Her vision is like a "shining city on a hill". I've heard that message before, and taken it to heart. She envisions what many of us are seeking. It has nothing to do with her appearance, nice as it is, it is all about her message. I repeat, it's all about HER MESSAGE. Obviously it appeals to quite a few of us. YMOV!

An unprincipled jerk is the type that regularly comes into a Sarah Palin thread to deliberately try to hijack it. I believe it is clear who that poster may be.

Some people think they have a right to hijack threads for their own selfish purposes, just because they've been here a long time. Maybe you ought to ask Jim Thompson... it's his house. Be sure and wipe your feet.

Sarah Palin has 1,081,825 supporters on FaceBook this morning.

Alan Keyes has 6,761 supporters, as of right now...

The Mexican border absolutely has to be "closed." I.E., illegal entry must be stopped. However, simple arithmetic tells us that the "Mexican Problem" is about to be dwarfed by the "Latin American" problem. Central America has already begun a mass illegal migration. When 100 Million Brazilians start getting itchy feet (also already started), we had better have our immigration act together.

Speaking of simple arithmetic, whoever keeps floating that "12 Million Illegal aliens" number, must be thinking of just LA County. If there are not 15 million illegal aliens in California alone, I'll buy all of them a drink, using their Food Stamps.

Furthermore, if all illegal immigration from the South were to stop tonight at midnight, we will still become a massively Hispanic country ... it will just take 25 years longer.

That is the real reason to stop this insane illegal population transfer. Since we're going to be a Latin American country eventually, we ought to try for a demographic model closer to Spain, Chile or Argentina, not Bolivia, Guatemala, or Mexico. The "Americanization" process is successful with LEGAL immigrants.

That integration process is being swamped by an illegal tide. Step (1) Palin must absolutely make this a major platform plank. Followed by Hardball and election reform to prevent the Democrats from deploying the illegal alien "vote," they have so assiduously developed. Step (2) The ruinous custom, and that is all it is, of granting citizenship to the offspring of illegals must be stopped cold by Executive Order. That era must end. Step (3) The inevitable riots in Hispanic areas must be handled firmly and punished by immedfiate deportation.

There is no way the Republicans should court the Hispanic vote. And it wouldn't be a bad idea to clear the air with African-American voters, either. By now, perhaps it's clear even to them, that illegal immigration has a terrible, direct, economic effect upon them. Neither group will support a Republican for another 50 years, anyway.

We are in absolute, irrevocable agreement here, I assure you. ;)

Plain, common sense, logic from Middle America.

Only the leftists and their running dog stool pigeons in the Mainstream Media would dare to refute it.

Parroting McCain is not an excuse.

I agree. I'm tired of getting my hopes up with these politicians. I want someone to come out and say, "We must not only close the border, but we must also deport the illegals who are already here. NO amnesty, 'path to citizenship' or anything else." The kinds of things Tancredo used to say. But of course, anyone with those views would never get the GOP nomination.

A: I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here. It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country.

Typical wishy-washy politician talk, trying to please all sides at the same time; just vague enough that both the pro- and anti-amnesty folks can grasp at straws wanting to think she's on their side.

“I’ve been telling people that she is against amnesty but they did not believe me, so here you have it”

I listened to the clip. What she says sounds promising, BUT she did NOT address amnesty/CIR, now did she? Could we at least wait to see what she has to say about amnesty instead of putting words in her mouth she didn’t utter??? Hopefully, she’ll do that sooner rather than later.

And please, don’t come back at me telling me she said something she didn’t. If you want to argue over what she ‘meant’, not what she actually said, do it with someone else.

I appreciate all the pings to this thread. Palin is the best hope we have been given so far. Please let me know if and when one of the talk show hosts actually bothers to ask her the question...’do you STILL think the 12 to 20 million illegal aliens in this country should get a pathway to citzenship/amnesty’.

She did say she still has ‘great respect’ for McCain. Sadly.

AuntB, you are right. But what she said is a much larger step in the right direction than what we have heard before.

She respects McCain for several reasons which are understandable. He served his country and suffered for it...and at the time he did so honorably. As mother of a son who is on the sword's edge, she has respect for that. She also respects him because he showed faith in her by selecting her as his VP choice...which means she would have been a heart beat away from the Presidency if they had won.

I think it is clear that they have pretty strong diffferences on a number of topics...which is why I support Sarah. She is not McCain on issues...but she still respects those things about him.

Don’t you remember? Robin Hood was at the Alamo. Jim Bowie Made a knife especially for him. Jim Bowie threw his knife and hit a Mexican, and Robin Hood threw his and split Jim’s knife clean in two.

I think that comes under the category of “keeping to the script”. A vp candidate has to be loyal to the Pres. candidate’s positions.

Eliminating Illegal immigration will only be feasible if you also come down hard and swift on the businesses who hire illegals and the businesses who contract out to contractors who use illegal alien workers. A 10,000 dollar fine per illegal worker per day would be a good start. Make a cutoff date of six months from now and Actually ENFORCE the damn thing too.

Also stop handing out tax payer paid benefits to illegal immigrants as well.

You are the head of a political party. As party chairman for presidential candidate Alan Keyes, it is your job to destroy Governor Palin as a possible Republican presidential candidate, you can try to hide your official status and let freepers think that you are just another anonymous poster but there is nothing wrong in revealing to people who you are in truth.

You are a political professional, that is officially the party chairman for perennial candidate Alan Keyes, that is why it is why you show up on Palin threads and spread lies about her such as her being pro-abortion etc., you are at work right now.

This is your profession. You are not just another freeper.

Reminds me of something Sonny Bono said during his Senate run.

When asked what his postion was on “illegal aliens”, he responded: “What position? They are ILLEGAL! They are breaking the law.”

“If they’re not going to follow the rules, they should not be in our country.”

Who in heck could read that and still ask if she’s for amnesty? ‘...they...(Illegal aliens) should not be in our country.(Must get out).’ Duh.
