Though I may be a small minded bigot, I have enough faith to believe God said what he meant. God undoubtedly says what He means. Unfortunately, MEN wrote the Bible, MEN translated the Bible, and MEN argue about what particular passages mean.
The issue is, do you take the Bible absolutely literally, or not. Based on the authorship and translations, I do not.
