This is trickle down, and if the cops misbehave, the people surely will.

I think you have it exactly backwards. The cops are now on the defensive day and night. The trickle down is the violence against law abiding citizens and they are, at times, taking preemptive action. If you can't see that then you are blind.

Yes, I’m blind, and creating a police state is the only appropriate response, of course.

Treating all Americans as criminals equally is the direction we should take, isn’t it?

We need at least hundreds of “non-lethal” weapons for cops to torture kids and old people with, I think.

Occasionally, amateur video showing the use of advanced weaponry on American citizens will reach millions of people on the Internet. This will surely result in a much more obedient population that is trusting and respectful of police officers.

That will make the average Joe just love cops. Everyone will then be free and happy, safe and sound under the big thumb of the law.

Look, all I am saying is that police have a major PR problem that they are not handling properly. If the perception of law enforcement goes negative then these things will happen more often.

I know the average cop can’t do much about this, but someone closer to the top ought to be paying attention.

Search YouTube for “police brutality” and see for yourself the kind of exposure law enforcement is getting. Observe the volume of views that these videos get.

I’m not anti-police at all. I don’t want any more of them to get hurt, or die.

People are uptight these days and intimidation, increased use of force, and oppression is the easy, but tragic, way to respond to what is happening.

YouTube alone will have an effect on these things. Not to mention everything else that is capable of delivering a negative image of cops.

We’re heading for real rough times if this isn’t handled properly.
