That is a totally ridiculous statement based upon propaganda put out by liberals. Iraqis are much much much better off for us getting rid of that tyrant for them...

I think that TARP that President Bush accepted was necessary and the correct way to do it...no strings attached. It saved our economy...

The No Child Left Behind act was a good thing and has resulted in improvement in minority children education...

Oh dear, how shall I even begin to address this sort of political relativism you two Bushbots seem to have been indoctrinated with?

One, the purpose of the United States armed services is to defend United States territory, property, and lawful residents. PERIOD. Not the advancement of human "freedom," especially if such "freedom" is purchased using funds taken from the future earnings of present and future United States citizens, or, in other words, through the exchange of one American's freedom for the freedom of someone else in the world who has no stake, no claim, or obligation to the United States or to the various States.

To quote Reagan's famous 27 Oct. 1964 speech:

And in that sentence he told us the entire story. If we lose freedom here, there's no place to escape to. This is the last stand on earth...This is the issue of this election: Whether we believe in our capacity for self-government or whether we abandon the American revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far-distant capitol can plan our lives for us better than we can plan them ourselves.

Or, in other words, you are praising an act in which the freedom of future Americans was involuntarily traded away for the freedom of another individual somewhere else in this world. You are praising an act in which "a little intellectual elite in a far-distant capitol" decided for millions of young Americans, and even millions of those unborn, how they should run their lives--i.e., by committing their future tax dollars to Big Government give-aways around the world--and they did so without the consent of those individuals.

That isn't conservative, nor is it pro-America, pro-freedom, or pro-Constitution. It is, however, despicable, disgusting, and morally repugnant, and the fact that you two endorse such acts in full knowledge of their impropriety means that you are either stupid, too indoctrinated to know any better, or willingly in bed with the rest of the traitors in Washington, New York, Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

Two, the rule of law demands that no one, not even the Government, is above the law.

The ends never justify the means, otherwise committing a partial-birth abortion to develop medical cures that save the lives of hundreds would be justified, a logical contradiction to the notion that all individuals are "endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

Three, neither TARP nor No Child Left Behind nor the Big Government give-aways in foreign lands are explicitly authorized by the United States Constitution. That you are advocating for such un-Constitutional actions by the Federal government signifies either stupidity, ignorance, or elitism on your part; either way, you appear to have zero respect for the Constitution except when your bunch of statists is out of power and your left-wing counterparts are busy growing the Federal government in a direction that doesn't meet with your agenda of reshaping the world in ways that you deem appropriate.

You do not seem to understand that we are fighting a war. The War On Terror is real sickoflibs, if we stop fighting today the war would not be over. There are ebbs and flows in all wars, this one included. What has hurt us more than anything is the aiding and abetting of the left to help the terrorists.

You and I are told increasingly we have to choose between a left or right. Well I'd like to suggest there is no such thing as a left or right. There's only an up or down -- [up] man's old -- old-aged dream, the ultimate in individual freedom consistent with law and order, or down to the ant heap of totalitarianism. And regardless of their sincerity, their humanitarian motives, those who would trade our freedom for security have embarked on this downward course.

Want to fight a war? Fine. Then play by the rules, lawfully declare the war, and actually fight instead of engaging in nation-building and handing out U.S. taxpayer dollars like there's no tomorrow.
