F-117 is still doing its thing.

They're mostly* retired, replaced (49th Wing, Holloman AFB) by the F-22A. Took them out to their former 37TFW hangars at Tonopah, removed their wings and put them into deep storage.

(*except for this very unlucky fellow that was cut up to test disposal techniques):

That sucks. I remember the first time I saw one live. I was stationed at Davis Monthan in AZ, and we had one come in for a static display for an open base/air show day. I think it was 1992 (maybe '93).

It was cool to watch the approach. I was right next to the runway. It flew in, about 300-400 feet up, followed the runway, then banked left over my head and went back around to land. Didn't hear a thing until it was past me, but we knew it was coming in and were waiting for it.
