“If there are competent blood tests available, case closed, guy”

Blood drawn for medical diagnostic reasons are VERY problematic to use in court. Chain of custody for prosecution is not observed. It is done to medical diagnostic standards, not tailored to the needs of a prosecutor. Then there are huge probable cause issues. (no, a wreck alone is not probable cause or people would be tested after every wreck,,, and they arent)

But if they want to use blood drawn just for medical use,,it would be childs play for a good DWI lawyer to have it excluded.

I have always despised a “herd mentality”. Let us endeavor to raise the bar a bit. This is not OJ Simpson, who had a 10 year battle with LAPD over wife beating. Let this couple work it out like the rest of us do, for Lord’s sake.

No doubt. My beef is with the people who are trying the case with no evidence. Let it be.

Florida cops will move to file charges

I guess that headline attracts more readers than

"Florida police issue Tiger Woods ticket for careless driving....."

Here's another possible one for the future for gossip mongers:

"Witnesses report seeing Tiger Woods beating wife on public golf course"

In a follow-up report 5 days later: "Tiger Woods admits giving wife Elin 18 stroke handicap but still beats her posting a 67 to her 94 during their weekly golf day together.......

And my beef is also about people who just want to know all the juicy details just because they are nosey. But they cloak their pursuit in the seriousness of domestic violence, as though Tiger was a powerless minimum wage girl, suffering in silence at the hands of a big scary man. Tiger has all the options he needs and we all know it. Nobody here screaming for her arrest is truly frightened for Tiger and trying to protect him.

Its just silliness,,,noseyness,,,and class warfare,,

Please explain the injuries and broken windows. Police are required to be risk averse on domestic abuse. They have little room for not making an arrest given certain signs at the scene. I was not at the scene so I cannot definitively state if an arrest should have been made. In hindsight, it looks to me like an arrest should have been made. Probable cause is only necessary for an arrest. The threshold for domestic abuse arrest is very low. The police arrest and let the individuals deal with the legal system.

Are the cops going to “hold that Tiger”?

One of my ex-brothers-in-law drove his truck right into a Police Car, parked in front of a Police Station. It ended up costing me many Baht to repair the Police Car, his truck, and the rather large bribe.

Oh, it also cost me the price of the bottle of 151 Rum which I’d foolishly given to him.

This is bullcrap, and I don’t believe it. If he was DUI, he would have been arrested on the spot.

Totally!! He's being cited for careless driving, no DUI involved. I hate people talking about painkillers, etc, being involved while meanwhile the coverup of domestic violence continues. Whatever.

The headline at link reads, “Florida police slap Woods with traffic citation.” It must have changed since you posted. No charges, just a ticket.

Right on. I'm with you. This article is such BS, with the neighbor's attorney being the spokesman for everything now. Huh?

Tiger Woods, I'm sorry to say, is an abused spouse.

“No problem. I’m not under oath on the internet. I can say anything I want. :)”

You brought up an interesting case. The reason this case is interesting to me is that it has happened more than once that I’ve been been given inside information about alleged illegal activities taking place (for instance, someone once told me that his brother burned down his own house to collect insurance money), but I didn’t have actual evidence, just word of mouth. I’ve wondered if I’m legally required to report what I’ve heard. In the case of your ex-brother-in-law, one way to look at it is this: Even though he told you he was drunk when he hit the tree, it is not proof that he really was drunk, he could have been lying to you for all you know. If you were an actual witness to the accident, or observed him walking home “stupor drunk,” after the accident, then I would think you have a legal obligation to report it. Otherwise you have no evidence that a crime occurred, because you can’t verify that his story about being drunk is true. Then again, maybe I’m wrong about the law in this case. Any Freeper cops care to comment on whether a person is legally obligated to report a suspicion of a crime based on unverifiable comments?

Are you serious? Even if you are dead right, that is really a poor communication style. Just sayin’.

And then again, how valid is the evidence you just used as an example? What if he responded back with (during court), “yeah, I am supposed to be taking those, but I didn’t at that time. I forgot to.”

Once the event is passed, it is a bit difficult to prove, after the fact, that someone was under the influence at that particular time.

Please lighten up on the attitude though...seriously.

That’s the kernel. And I can give you a famous example: The Acorn worker that said she shot her husband in cold blood.

We have truly hit rock bottom...

Yes we have! But what really concerns me are the people who have been following this, as I have, who have been so eager to assume the absolute worst for Tiger Woods and actually expressed joy over it.

And now today, after Rachel Uchitel has publicly and vehemently denied any tryst with Tiger Woods, the same online website that spread the lie about her and Woods has now come out with a further bimbo eruption........ What a coincidence!

And the same sorry a'holes who refuse to believe Ms. Uchitel's denial are falling for this story too with with the same predicted orgasmic pleasure........

If one wishes to stone Tiger Woods for his occasional displays of temper on the golf course, then so be it. Myself, I prefer to look at all the benefits to society that Tiger has brought. Specifically, the Tiger Woods Foundation.

But the most significant and never reported is what his mere appearance at a golf event provides for the event organizers and the community itself.

His first time appearance at the Australian Masters netted Tiger $3.5 million which is a sizable amount. However, due to his appearance, it was the first time in that event's history that ticket sales were sold out. In addition, the economic benefits were estimated to exceed $20 million........

Update : Tiger has to pay a $164.00 Traffic Ticket. That’s it. No other charges. Nothing.

Well there you have it, Tiger was guilty beyond the shadow of a doubt.

I'm calling for a boycott on all his sponsors as well as demanding that he be suspended indefinitely from the PGA and all his charities thru the Tiger Woods Foundation be audited.......... /sarc
