Nobody ever granted clemency. Huckabee reduced the guys sentence from 97 to 43 years. The parole board which the Governor has no control over paroled him. After he was paroled he violated his parole and was sent back to jail and later on they paroled him again. Recently, in Washington, he was released on $15K bond following an arrest for child molestation. He had 8 felony arrests in Washington after he left Arkansas.

Nobody ever granted clemency. Huckabee reduced the guys sentence from 97 to 43 years. These two sentences flatly contradict each other. A governor reducing a sentence -IS- clemency, and it stated right on the clemency certificate - the one Huckabee signed - that it made the prisoner *immediately* eligible for parole.
