I’m not following this right ,I guess,I’m not a big fan of Huck, but he let him out 9 years ago, right?
So, how many times has this guy been locked up since? Who let him out this last time, they say only a few days ago? What I’m trying to ask is how does Huckabee bear the brunt of this if this guy has been locked away numerous times since then? I’m not taking up for Huck, but someone else is more directly responsible, maybe?
The sentence "Huck" granted him clemency for was 60 years, for a 17 year-old, which may give a little indication of what the prosecutor and sentencing judge thought of this scum.
"Huck" granted this clemency over the objections of the prosecutor.
"Huck" deserves every bit of blame and condemnation he gets from this episode.
His craven, ass-covering "statement" is as bad as his original error.
Lots of guilt to spread around. How many times do we see it..... again and again where somebody who SHOULD have been in jail was freed to do more damage? I’d prefer to see my tax dollars go to more prisons!
In this sort of case the fact that others also bear heavy responsibility for the grotesque failures of the judicial-penal system to keep this POS off the streets does not in any way lessen Huckabee’s responsibility. Sure, it looks like there were a bunch of other opportunities to protect society from this scumbag that were missed, but had the Huckster not commuted the 60 yr. sentence in 2000 then Clemmons would not now be on the streets.
Huck was apparently just the first o f many who let this guy back on the street time and time again.
