Rasmussen is an automated phone poll, and people are not at home over Thanksgiving weekend. Hence it is useless to poll over the holiday.
I predict the Presidential Tracking Poll (the “Passion” Index) at -16% and the Obama Approval Index at 44% after families compare notes and debate over the 4 day Thanksgiving weekend.
I predict you are correct.
Judging from the conversations back at the Martel homestead (and that of the in-laws), I'd say the natives are plenty restless - and finding that they have plenty of support in feeling that way.

There was indeed a clear drop right after the 4th of July that was noted by several people at the time. It gave the impression that lots of people got together at that time and there was some negative convincing going on. I got curious about it and checked to see what happened after Labor Day, and found that there was a move in the opposite direction for a few days. Maybe there were other factors involved that I’m not remembering.
At any rate it will be interesting to see what happens in the next week or so. Surely a lot of politics was discussed in the last few days in the privacy of family gatherings.
